The United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women shall be an organized community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The FBUMC UMW meets monthly September through May Meetings are held in Gage Fellowship Hall on the second Thursday of each month beginning at 9:30 am, June's meeting is a luncheon at a local restaurant-- Please bring a prospective member, friend, or your spouse. Wisdom Circle
An extension of the UMW, this group meets in members homes on the first Tuesday of each month and does local community outreach as well as participating in studies and fellowship. Wisdom Circle is in charge of the "Baby Chest" in the Narthex of the Church. Once the chest is full it is distributed to one of the local agencies working with pregnant women. Wisdom Circle also makes school and health kits for the United Methodist Church and sends them to the local distribution center.
Graduation Bibles & Scholarships
This year the UMW/UMMen scholarship was awarded to Amber Colson. Amber is attending St. John's River Community College in Putnam County and will transfer to the University of North Florida to continue her pursuit of a bachelor degree in education. Amber hopes to teach English at Flagler Palm Coast High School in the future.
